Sony Alpha 1（A1）は、50MPスタックBSI-CMOSセンサーとボディ内手ぶれ補正機能を備えたハイエンドのフルフレームミラーレスカメラです。 a1は、最大30 fpsのバーストレートで巨大な9.44Mドット（240 fps）EVFで停電のない撮影を提供します。ソニーの最新のオートフォーカスシステムを搭載しており、高速処理と顔/目/動物の検出が可能です。電子シャッターはちらつきをなくすように設計されており、1/200秒のフラッシュシンクロを提供します（メカニカルシャッターでは印象的な1/400秒です）。

「ピクセルシフトマルチシューティング」モードでは、16回の露出を組み合わせて199MPの画像を作成します。これは、PCで処理する必要があります。そういえば、カメラはデュアルバンドWi-Fi経由で制御することも、USBまたはイーサネット経由でPCに接続することもできます。ソニーは、標準のHEIF形式をサポートすることに加えて、ファイルサイズを小さくするための「LightHIEF / JPEG」オプションを追加しました。
