ニコンZ6は、同社の中級機となるフルサイズミラーレスカメラです。24.5MP BSI-CMOSセンサー、273点90%カバーのハイブリッドAFシステム、5軸ボディ内手ブレ補正を搭載しています。デジタル一眼レフカメラ「D750/D850」と同様のデザインを採用した堅牢なボディは、防塵・防滴に完全対応しています。368万ドットの電子ビューファインダーとチルト式の3.2型・210万ドットのタッチパネル液晶を搭載しています。天板には有機ELパネルを搭載し、現在の撮影設定を表示します。写真はXQDカードに保存されます。

Z6はAEロックで12fps、コンティニュアスAF/AEで5.5fpsの連続撮影が可能です。オーバーサンプリングされた4K動画を撮影することができ、最高の解像度を実現します。5軸ISやハイブリッドAFシステム（こちらは435点）など、動画でも静止画と同じ機能を使うことができます。Z6は、フォーカスピーキング、ゼブラパターン、タイムコード、HDMIでの10bit Log出力に対応しています。また、内部と外部で同時に8ビットの動画を記録することができます
