I know this one is Chinese version with global ROM. Will it get official over the air updates? Or will I have to look for them manually?

Global rom has Google Play Store and multiple languages.

Kindly note the device supports OTA update, however, OTA / system update will be released according to the schedule of manufacturer but it will also depend on the country and telecom company.
